The country's economic progress is driven by the expansion of agriculture. Agriculture is the primary priority in higher education because it employs the majority of our population, either directly or indirectly. The nation's comfortable food grain situation is the consequence of the growth of talented human resources, the creation of technological capacities for HRD, the advancement of technology, and its delivery to the highly responsive farming community. The green, white, yellow, and blue revolutions—which denote increases in the production of food grains, milk, oilseeds, and fish—will be largely caused by the development of human resources through an efficient agricultural education system that places a strong emphasis on skill.
