Dr. C.V. Raman University (Khandwa) is the fifth university under the AISECT Group of Universities and was established in 2008 in the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh (Khandwa). The university is at the forefront of agricultural innovations, contributing to sustainability and growth. With these initiatives, we aim to equip our students to excel while benefiting society and the economy. Dr. C.V. Raman University has excellent infrastructure, highly skilled teachers, and experienced trainers with an excellent industrial background to provide precise knowledge and skills to the students. Dr. C.V. Raman University (Khandwa) has an AISECT NSDC partnership, certification, and online placement supported by Rojgar Mantra, further enhancing their career prospects and contributing to the region’s economic growth.
The university’s Agri Initiative combines education, research, and entrepreneurship in agriculture. Features include field labs, tech development with farmers, an upcoming food processing centre, a microfood park for 300 entrepreneurs, a diverse product portfolio, and new schools for food and dairy science. Additionally, 20 Centres for Excellence focus on areas like water governance and the carbon economy in collaboration with global entities.
In 2021–22, the Happy Harda initiative launched, establishing three Raman Regional Resource Centres and planning four more for Mission HAPPY. Over 100 primary producer groups were formed, supporting GOI’s Samarth Bharat Abhiyan. Additionally, 100+ entrepreneur farmers were identified, and 71 B.Sc. Ag. final year students underwent a six-month internship under ICAR’s RAWE scheme.

Infrastructure and Campus
The university has a world-class infrastructure and is an ideal eco-friendly destination for quality learning and meaningful research. It has very strong academic, research, and cultural tie-ups at the international level with universities and institutions. The university has a solid industry linkage. It has signed MoUs with industries like Microsoft, Tata Motors, Reliance, HCL, BSNL, etc. There is a team of well-qualified teachers and a practical placement and training support system. The choice-based credit system, with choice-skill courses as electives, is the unique feature of the university curriculum. The teaching methodology ensures optimum utilisation of modern techniques like online teaching, LCD projectors, and e-learning to efficiently deliver quality education. The courses offered at the university rest on personalised teaching methodology beyond classroom interaction. The university uses the Video Audio Learning System (VALS) and other innovative tools to enhance the style of education imparted.
At Dr. C. V. Raman University, modern teaching techniques at both graduate and postgraduate levels play a pivotal role in the overall grooming of the student. Both girls and boys are offered accommodation facilities within a close radius of the main campus. All the basic facilities are made available at hostels, and it is made sure that the students have a comfortable stay.
The university runs a fleet of buses, covering around 35 km around the institute. This facility is part of the safety measures taken by the university for its students and staff members. A canteen is where students get to spend some quality time with their friends and discuss ideas for the future. The cafeteria at the university has been designed with students’ comfort in mind so that they can come here and refresh themselves.
Housing more than 5,000 books, 2,200 titles, and thousands of CDs, journals, and reports covering a wide range of subjects, the library at Dr. C.V. Raman University is nothing less than a knowledge paradise for students. With access to the content of databases with traditional materials, the library is an impeccable knowledge resource. Students are provided with a personal identity card that they are supposed to carry on campus. The card contains the students’ details, and they are supposed to submit it back at the end of the programme.
Ragging is strictly prohibited at Dr. C.V. Raman University. Thus, there is an anti-ragging committee that looks into the matter of ragging. Any act of ragging is addressed with seriousness, with stringent actions taken against those involved.

Conduct compulsory self-analysis tests every month. a twice-credit system with effective continuous test evaluation feedback and a correction cycle with monitoring and recording mechanisms. Industry-live projects are assigned as minor and major projects. Many value-added courses are also conceptualised that can enhance the hard and soft skills of the students.
The Tutor Guardian Scheme
This unique scheme ensures that each student at the university gets an overall development, with no one being left behind. Under this scheme, a group of 10 students will be assigned to each member of the teaching staff, who will act as their tutor guardian. They will help the students with their daily schedule and will be in continuous contact with the parents of the students.
Co-Curricular
The primary focus of the university is always on education. Still, the students are also encouraged to take some time out and devote it to following their hobbies. Various clubs, including drama, music, debate, etc., have been instituted at the university where the students can come together and practice or even learn new skills. A state-level techno-cultural event is also organised every year.
Sports
The value of sports cannot be overlooked when it comes to the overall development of a student. At Dr. C.V.
